Whole Among the Broken Pieces

scunknown121614Who are you?
We are the ones who are still standing amidst the broken pieces. We are the ones who have risen above the brokenness.Ā  We are the ones who are whole even though hundreds of broken pieces are all around you.

What do you have to give me?
We give you the courage to stand tall and strong and beautiful even amongst all the brokenness around you.

When did you first appear in my life?
We became present to you during and after your first journey with cancer in 2002.Ā  But we were also with you during your first big break-up in college.Ā  You felt broken, shattered, and yet you rose strong and sure of yourself. We appear only when necessary.

What do you want from me?
We want you to find the beauty in the broken pieces.Ā  We want you to know that no matter how much brokenness surrounds you, you are strong enough to stand in the midst of it.

Facing the Desert

scdesertWho are you?
I am the one who faces the desert. I am the one who knows the desert is barren and dry but I have brought color and green growing things with me!

I am the one who has adorned myself with color.Ā

I am the one who says HA! and BAH! to the dry parched desert.

I am the one who waits patiently for the rain to come and quench the thirsty desert.

I am the one who doesn’t believe this is the end point of my life.Ā

I am the one who is present with this spaciousness, who knows that green living things can and do flourish in the desert.

Here is a poem I created using some of the words and phrases from the above as a springboard:

I face the final desert of my life
alone
ahead of me all is parched
dry
barren

I am calm
I am patient
I hold myself to myself
waiting

I am ready to face the desert
I have smeared bright color
on my body
I carry green growing things in my hand

I am the one who doesn’t believe
this is the end point of my life
Life grows in the desert too

Self-Nourishment

I am the one who knows how to nourish my body, mind and spirit.
I am the one who knows how to nourish my body, mind and spirit.

This is one of the first cards I made… and I love her!Ā  I named her Simone, which is French for wise and thoughtful.

Since I’ve had a difficult relationship with food for many years, I thought this would be a good card to share right before Thanksgiving. Perhaps this Neter has a bit of wisdom for you as well.

And maybe you’d like to add a similar Neter to YOUR deck!

Who are you? I am the one who knows how to nourish myself.Ā  I am the one who drinks deeply from the bowl of life and never worries about the bowl being empty.Ā  I am the one who takes care of my body with good food, and cares for my mind and my spirit with rainbows, light, and gorgeous colors that ache with beauty.

I am the one who easily says, “Enough.”Ā  I am the one who is grateful for what I have, who isn’t frantic about having more.Ā  There is no desperation in my voice- only peace, wellness, grace and content. I am the one who is comfortable with my true self, who wants to see my true self thriving and healthy and whole.Ā  I am the one who puts good, beautiful things into my mind and body and spirit.Ā  I am the one who delights in taking care of myself.

What do you have to give me? I give you the gift of taking care of yourself.Ā  I am The Slender One’s sister.Ā  We walk hand in hand.Ā  One does not exist without the other.

What do you want from me? I want you to give your body what it truly needs, and only that.Ā  I want you to open your body, your soul, to all means of nourishment.Ā  To make self-nourishment a daily practice.

SoulCollageĀ® Challenge of the Month- Animal Companions

Sea Lion
Sea Lion

Whatever it is that you’re doing this week, I invite you to consciously bring one of your Animal Companions along with you.Ā  Choose an animal from your Companions Suit– either randomly or intentionally.Ā  Spend a little time with this animal’s energy beforeĀ your day begins. Ā What does this animal have to give you right now… today… this coming week?Ā  Ask it, and listen for its answer.

Invite its energy into whatever’s going on for you this month, and see if it makes a difference.Ā  Place the card on your nightstand, or under your pillow and invite it into your dreams.

Don’t have any cards in your Companions Suit yet?Ā  It’s time to make one!

For more info on the Companions Suit, animal totems, the 7 chakras, and Seena Frost’s teaching on the subject, please visit this page at KaleidoSoul.

Please share your cards and discoveries over at our KaleidoSoul Yahoo Group!
