Who are you?
We are the ones who are not the right colors. We are the ones who don’t belong. We stand out, we don’t blend in. We are the ones who are unique, rainbow-colored. We are the rainbow misfits.
What do you have to give me?
We give you the courage to be bright, to be bold, to be uniquely you. We give you courage to be different from the rest.
What do you want from me?
We want you to stay true to your own colors. We want you to be who you really are, not a mirror image of everyone else.
I love this! Although it’s your card, it has such a personal and social statement for me. when I think of all the children other groups in society that are bullied..I think of these words. Thank you.
I can certainly relate to this. Thinking of my own kids….I see them relating to this and keeping their true colours. I have always said about myself:i am not a Marks &Spencers…meaning I am who I am.
What an excellent card! I relate on a high scale to these sentiments. As early as childhood, I never felt I “fit in” and was ridiculed. Now, I understand my own unique differences and continue the process of moving past censure – imposed by others or from within. I AM ME and it finally feels right and good. Thanks for sharing.
This is such a wonderful card. I am like you one of those rainbow misfits. And so if my son. But then, our world needs more colors… I want to find lots of colors in my own world. Especially as winter descends. Thanks, for this, Anne Marie!
I love the directness of this cards power. It makes a universal statement that embraces so many cultures, belief systems, personal tastes and something in each and every one of us!
Refreshing, fun and SO true
Thank you. Anne Marie for reminding me again of choices and tolerance and joy in unique individuality.
I love this colorful card and can so relate–we birds of a rainbow feather enjoy flocking together here at KaleidoSoul.
