The Fool Brings Change

Fool is an archetypal energy that brings CHANGE with it. Some of this change is minor, like when you get a haircut and it comes out all wrong; and some of this change is huge, like what the coronavirus has brought to us.

Seena Frost, the founder of SoulCollageĀ®, taught that there are two archetypes that touch ALL of our lives, no matter where we are. One is Death; the other is The Fool.

This is my second Fool card. I made this while leading a retreat where we focused on the 3 S’s of SoulCollage:
Sacredness, Surprise, and Synchronicity

It feels appropriate to share it with you now that we are still in the midst of COVID-19 and all the surprising life changes that this virus has brought to us.Ā  And I’ve learned, if I really get comfortable with and welcome The Fool’s changes into my life, I also can (most of the time) recognize the sacredness and synchronicity of these changes.

Who are you?

I am the one who is all about surprises.

I am the one who changes things around and switches things up when you least expect it.

What do you have to say to me today?

My message for you today is this: do not fear all these changes, dear one. I urge you to find a way to look forward to them… to welcome them, and delight in them if you can.Ā  My appearance in your life can bring joy and new perspectives too.Ā 

Notice that even the ugly old fire hydrant has flourishing green leaves growing on it!

 

 

All Shall Be Well

I have had this Neter in my SoulCollageĀ® deck for many, many years. I made it completely intuitively, and every time I draw it, it seems to be speaking to me of reassurance.

Who are you?

I am the one who is standing on the edge of the Universe. I am the one resting my hand on this ancient pillar of wisdom.

I am the one surrounded by symbols of Transformation and New Beginnings.

I am the one who is ready and open to explore what is next.

I am the one who knows that I am safe and protected.

I am the one who faces the mystery of the Universe, both inside and out.Ā  I am the one who trusts that the Universe is a safe and friendly place.

I am the one who sees the Unknown as a kind, exciting place, a place of mutual trust.Ā  I am the one who trusts that the next step will be safe, will not harm me in any way.Ā 

I am the one who steps forward into mystery with intention and grace, who trusts the unfolding of the journey, who isnā€™t afraid to venture forth into unknown territory.

What do you have to give me?

I give you fearlessness.Ā 

I give you freedom from worry and anxiety.

I give you new adventures. I give you faith and trust that all shall be well.

Who are you?

I am the one who is about to beat the crap out of this woman in the red dress. I am the one who hates that she is so happy and passionate. I am the one who was your inner Teacher, Lucius, in the old days.

I am the one who prefers that you stay under wraps so no one can see you in your happiness.

I am afraid that someone will take advantage of you if you peel off all the layers and let yourself shine, so I am intent on keeping you down.

I am a strong part of your inner world, and I control several of your other shadowed parts.

What is your message for me today?

Remember that as Director of your inner cast of characters, you can take me out of this starring, controlling role at any time.

I discovered a unique way of looking at my inner parts through this wonderful book, Soul Play: Turning Your Daily Dramas into Divine Comedies!

It is one of the most helpful, and certainly THE most creative book on our inner parts/inner voices that I have ever had the pleasure to read.

I’ve actually read it several times and shared its premise during many a SoulCollageĀ® workshop on the Inner Committee. I love the imagery of imagining our inner parts as characters in a play, and that I am the director. Mothering the Adult Child

Who are you?

I am the one who mothers you as an adult.

I nurtured you from Beyond as a child, and I nurture you still as an adult.

I am the one you can STILL turn to even though you are “all grown up.”

What do you have to say to me today?

My message for you today is this: Come to me, turn to me, allow me to hold you in my arms. Your imagination is a power that is sometimes underused. Anything you need help with, please ASK me.

Feel my presence. Call me back into your life.

I am here for you always and in all ways.

You are not alone.

NOTE: Sometimes this card speaks to me from the daughter’s voice, but today it is speaking to me from the voice of the Mother.

 

Fire Diver- Committee Suit

Scfiredive I created this card because I just liked the two images and how they fit together even though you wouldn’t ordinarily think they would go together.

A card like this can remain a mystery until we sit down with it and begin a relationship with it by asking it some questions so that it can open up and tell us its story.

Who are you?
 I am the one who dives into the fire. I am the one who leans in and allows myself to freefall into the volcano of my feelings, my grief, my pain, my anger.Ā  I am the one who falls into a hot seething fire which burns away all negativity and false expectations.Ā  I am the one who freefalls through whatever happens in my life.Ā  And beyond this fiery volcano is a cool, calm, peaceful sky, and a mountain nowhere near as difficult to climb.

What do you have to give me?
I give you fearlessness, to face whatever inner fires you fall into.Ā  I give you an eagerness to know, to claim, to dive into those inner fiery realms of emotions.Ā  I give you purification because you dared to plunge into the fiery depths of your soul.

What do you want from me?
I want you to go right into your inner worlds, no matter how scary and hot and dangerous they seem on the outside.
