Memories of Alaska

During one of our monthly Zooms for Kindred Spirits here at KaleidoSoul, I was guided to choose a SoulCollage card that held a special memory for me, so I chose this card which evokes the feeling of being in Alaska. The Facilitator led us to create a poem from the visual and sensual memories that are inherent in the card, so I am sharing that poem here with you today.

Alaska
Inlet pass. Mountains. An eagle.
Unblemished Nature
Our ship glides ever-so-smoothly
through glassy turquoise water
easy, graceful

A hush covers the usually boisterous passengers
We are immersed in silent wonder, all

Beauty unveiled before unsuspecting eyes

This sacred silence eases my heart
Deep immersive peace
speaks to me
of Something greater

This I know–
Ā Ā  I am held
Ā  We are held
Ā  We are not alone.
