Journeys

Here are two different cards about the idea of Journeys.Ā  I made the first one about 10 years ago. In the last few months, I made the second card and and was delighted to hear about this Neter’s different aspect of life journeying:

scjourneyerI am the Journeyer.Ā  I am the one who is on a Journey through life.Ā  No one can take your journey but YOU.Ā  There are times on your journey when you are moving forward and times when you are sitting still and pausing.Ā  There are sunny days and stormy days and also cold, lonely days.Ā  No one can walk your journey but you.

My message for you today is this- be proud of YOUR journey.Ā  It is uniquely ours and you are journeying well.

We are the ones who are journeying TOGETHER!Ā  We are the ones who are each on our own individual quest, our own unique journey, but we have found that the journey is easier and more FUN when we hook arms and travel with others who are on similar journeys.

Our gift to you is the knowing that you don’t have to journey alone.Ā  We give you camaraderie along the way.Ā  We give you companionship.Ā  We give you shoulders to lean on and partners for the long haul.

We need you to remember that even though YOU are the only one who can travel your journey, there is no need to shut yourself off from others.Ā  Ask for help. Ask for others to share their journeys with you too.Ā  There is much to gain from offering your hand to others as you journey onwards.

On Being Empty

This is one of those “Mystery Cards” that take me a while to sit with before I “hear” a message.Ā  In order to work with this Neter, I decided to focus on just one aspect of itā€”the woman in pink near the bottom. Even though the figure at top right is bigger and feels more imposing, the woman in pink seemed more compelling to me. I couldn’t stop wondering who she was or where she was going.

Who are you?

(Woman in pink): I am the one who carries a pink jar and has dark skin and is wearing a pink patterned dress. I am the one who is carrying my empty jar. It is waiting to be filled.

I am the one who stands in front of five green bowls that are empty, nestled inside of one another.

I am the one who is rising out of a nautilus shell that keeps creating chambers within itself.

I am the one who is not alone among the shells and the bowls. I am guided and protected by a great Veil of Angel Wings. I am guided and protected by The One who guards me with deep, golden, feminine wisdom.

I am the one who moves forward, holding lightly onto my large and empty pink jar, surrounded below and above by Things of Spirit.

What do you have to say to me today?

My message for you today is this: even the empty green bowls are of Spirit. Emptiness is good in and of itself. All empty things do not necessarily need to be filled immediately. Or ever!

Companion to My Companions

Several years ago, when learning about the chakras, I “met” a rainbow-feathered owl in a guided imagery meditation one day. After working with that Neter, I realized that Rainbow Owl is the Companion to My Companions!Ā  I do love it when the Neters make themselves known to us in dreamlike states of being. Here is my card to honor him. (Sorry, I cannot remember the name of the artist, but the owl image is definitely not copyright-free).

Here’s another card (left) I made around the same time, totally intuitively, just loving how the images came together. Here is what the girl said to me:

I am the one who bows to the Companion of my Companions. I am the one who has made friends with my chakras and therefore with my body.

I am the one who journeys deep within, down and down to my innermost cavern where the Inner River flows.

I am the one with feathers in my hair, just as there are feathers on my Owl Companion.

My message for you today is simple- bow to your body, dear one. Allow ITS wisdom to lead you. Float again in your Inner River… all will become clear.
