Overachiever

Scoverachiever I’ve been giving myself a crunchload of deadlines lately, for my personal life as well as for my business.Ā  Today I drew this card in my daily reading.Ā  Big surprise!Ā  It’s Gabriella, my Overachiever/Pusher.

I am the one who always needs to be DOING something. I am the one who wants to win, to be the best.Ā  I am the one who hates wasting time, who doesn’t understand why you need an hour or two to sit with your feet up reading a novel.Ā  I am the one who makes lists and schedules and insists that you DO them all.Ā  I am Impatience’s sister.Ā  She and I are molded of the same DNA.

I give you a sense of purpose and I’m good at seeing what needs to be done and at showing you how to meet deadlines.Ā  I want you to do, do, do, and to forget about all this “being enough” crap.Ā  I want you to keep improving yourself.

My message for you today is this… I am the one who wants you to finish everything on your TO DO list before I let you play or have fun or do something “luxurious” like relaxing with a good book. Take a step back and look at my energy and what it is doing in your life… Notice how my energy can be channeled into balanced action for your life.Ā  I can help you but I need tight reins.Ā  I can help you but I need some boundaries.

On the Loss of a Dear Pet

Scmysticalchild In 2006 when our fun loving, man-of-the-house tiger cat Scooter died, I went to my Deck and said “Who will help me deal with the loss of my dear cat Scooter?”

This is the card that I drew, my mystical child.Ā  Her voice immediately offered me comfort and a subtle kind of peace:

I am the one who believes in magic and fairies.Ā  I am the one who talks to angels and animals, and hears them talking back to me.Ā  I am the one who believes in prayer and who prayers frequently and fervently, with faith.Ā  I am the one in direct contact with the Divine.Ā 

I am the one who believes in magic and who watches spellbound as rabbits are pulled out of hats and scarves change color in mid-air. I am the one who acknowledges the Mysteries of the universe, who accepts the Mysteries and loves them as they are.

I give you a sense of mystery and awe. I give you the knowledge of other realities and the open mind to accept them. I want you to believe in fairies and angels, and to know that dolphins and cats can talk to you.Ā  I want you to see magic everywhere you turn. I want you to pray and to know that your prayers are ALWAYS answered.Ā  I want you to stay connected to the Divine.Ā 

What I have to say to you today is this: Scooter has been gone for a week now, but from the first moment you met him, youĀ  asked for Angel Protection for him, because you knew he was a wild free spirit– he told you this, and you listened, you heard him.Ā  You honored his deepest heart’s longings by letting him have his freedom, and you always knew that you couldn’t be the one to protect him, as much as you wanted to.Ā 

Now, today, in the midst of your aching grief, I want you to know and to believe that he has and has always had the Angel Protection that you continually asked for.Ā  I want you to have faith that the Angels have honored your request.Ā  It really is that simple.Ā  I also want you to know that all of your inner communication with Scooter was and is real. He felt safe with you and he loved you fiercely.Ā  Know that this safety and love continues on even when his body is not here with you.

Let there be joy and gladness in the midst of your tears and pain, for anytime a wild creature like this is loved so deeply, heaven is full of gratitude and rainbows.

I made this SoulCollage card to honor an inner committee part of myself.Ā  I’d been doing a lot of reading on the qualities of a queen and I realized that I have an inner queen who offers strong yet kind authority among my inner parts.

 

Who are you?

I am the one who is Queen of my inner castle.Ā  I am the one who is confident, happy.Ā  I am proud to be Queen!Ā  I am the one who wears a royal crown and jewels and the royal sash.Ā  I am the one who is a kind and fair ruler.Ā  I own my power.Ā  I am not afraid of being powerful.Ā  I am the one who is respected by my people, not feared.

What do you give me?

I give you the power to make things be the way you want them to be. I give you grace to let go of what cannot be changed.Ā  I give you self-respect and deep trust in your leadership abilities.

What do you want from me?

I want you to OWN YOUR INNER POWER!Ā  I want you to not put up with any “funny business” from your inner nay-sayers.

When did you first appear in my life?

When you started doing SoulCollage, you started becoming aware of your inner authority.Ā  This is when I was born.Ā  At first I was just a thought, an idea, but the more inner work you do, the more you are embracing my Queen energy.

What makes you angry?

Unfairness and injustice makes me angry. I hate it when people or animals are treated cruelly or inhumanely.Ā  I have had to learn how to express my anger without doing further damage.Ā  The Inner Voices/Inner Ones/Inner Tribe who get in my way also make me angry and I need to remember to treat them kindly too.

Rising from the Nautilus

scunknown12345I am the one who was covered up with my illness and now I am free from it.Ā 

I am the one who is naked and free and open to life.Ā 

I am the one who rises out of the Nautilus Shell and its many inner chambers.

I am the one in active movement, saying a joyous YES to life!

My message for you today is this- you are connected- head to toe- to divine inner Spirit. Rest easy in this knowledge and CLAIM YOUR JOYFUL LIFE.

Mommy & Me

I am the one who knows how to mother myself.
I am the one who knows how to mother myself.

I grew up with a mother who was always there for me, butĀ  because of her own lack of a nurturing mother growing up, she wasn’t one who nurtured me with unconditional love and kindness.Ā  I missed out on having a real “Mommy.”

After practicing SoulCollageĀ® for a few years, I realized that I could “mommy” myself and so I made several cards to depict this Mommy and Me relationship that I had missed out on as a child.Ā  This is the one card of all my “Mommy and Me” cards that remains in my deck, as a vivid reminder that I can be nurturing and loving and unconditionally accepting towards myself.

Most of the time when I read from this card, it is the Mommy inside of me talking, but recently I drew it in a short reading and I noticed that the little girl was speaking this time:

I am the one who loves being held and cherished by Mommy.Ā  I am the one who can completely relax when Mommy is holding me.Ā  I am the one who feels safe in her arms.

My message for you today is this- even though you had an earth-mother who couldn’t and didn’t give you this, you have an inner mother just waiting for you to open your arms to her. Open up on the inside.Ā  Let Mommy hold you when you need to be held.
