Quotation of the Week
Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string.
--- Ralph Waldo Emerson Soul Friends The Voice of a Different Kindred Spirit Each Week Claire BeaumontSan Diego, CA Hi everyone! I've been doing SoulCollage® for about two years now. I wanted an art process that would reveal my soul and I liked collage so I googled the words "collage" and "soul". Who knew! My favorite thing about SoulCollage® is the serendipity and power of the Readings. They never, ever fail to amaze and inspire me. Because I am in the grip of the Great Mother archetype at this stage of my life, SoulCollage's greatest help to me has (not surprisingly) been in this realm. From releasing fear about parenting and pregnancy, relating to my partner as a co-parent, relating to other mothers (including my own), to opening up to the joys and love of children, SoulCollage® has created positive change especially in my Mothering. My advice to other SoulCollagers? Work the process with a group if you possibly can. The benefits are exponential. Here are two of my cards: ![]() Post Partum Depression Committee Suit I am the one who suffered after the birth of my first born. I am the one who was stalled and stuck and desperate. I am the one who craved the anonymity of homelessness. This card could only be made after the fact. I didn't realize how sick I was until I wasn't sick anymore. Making this card was important for me to do before I had baby number two. I had a great amount of healing to do before I could sustain a pregnancy again and SoulCollage® played a big part in that. Lost
Boy Committee Suit I am the one who fears losing my child to "something better or nicer." I am the one who feels I have left my baby to cry in the nest and have wasted the clean slate of preciousness of his young childhood. This card was made in the process of transition for my only child becoming one of two when his brother was born. It was very stressful and I had a lot of guilt and fear. Funny now he and I recently read Peter Pan and enjoyed it so much. Things are good now and this card feels different to me now than when I made it. I understand more about how there must be natural conflict in relationships for them to grow. I understand the naturalness of a child growing up and a bit away from their parents. I love how our cards grow with us and continue to serve us! "The reality is that changes are coming. They must come. We must all share in bringing them." -John Hersey

| Our Next Tele-Class Using the Wisdom of the Medicine Wheel in Your SoulCollage® Journey, Presented by Alexa Singer-Telles, SoulCollage® Facilitator in California
The Native American Medicine Wheel offers us a sacred container to honor the
wisdom of the seasons and cycles of life, the elemental qualities, and the
guidance of animals and archetypal energies. We will imagine ourselves
sitting in the center of our own medicine wheel, inviting in the elements of
the four directions in relation to the four SoulCollage® suits as a gift of
support. We will work with the guidance of the Visionary, Healer, Teacher, and Warrior as they represent the energies of the four directions. Our time together will be experiential, with lots of time for questions and sharing. Alexa has led women's rituals including rites of passage for over twenty years using the medicine wheel as the sacred container to hold the experience. She has been actively engaged in the use of dreamwork, movement, and expressive artwork (both personally and therapeutically) as a process for guidance and healing. This call is this Friday!
