The theme of this issue is Intuition. We believe that everyone is intuitive, and that our intuition can get stronger the more we practice using it. Practicing SoulCollage is an excellent way to get in touch with our intuition... read more here.

Survey said..... In last month's first-ever KaleidoSoul Survey, almost 3/4 of you said you would love to be a part of a low-cost KaleidoSoul Membership which included discounts on SoulCollage e-books/e-courses, and a weekly newsletter in addition to Soul Songs. With that in mind, we've created KaleidoSoul Kindred Spirits... which includes all of those benefits as well as monthly SoulCollage tele-classes, a members-only blog, monthly online chats and more! The cost is less than $1 per week! And...you can drop out whenever you like (but we don't think you're going to want to drop out!). It's simple to join, and the benefits are out of this world. If you're craving to know more about and experience SoulCollage more deeply, then you'll want to become a Kindred Spirit right away. The price is going UP on May 1, so you have an opportunity as one of the first Soul Songs subscribers to take advantage of this awesome deal! Also... there's more good news! We're giving away two lifetime memberships! Just be one of the first 100 Kindred Spirits to join and you'll be entered in a drawing to win one of two lifetime memberships to KaleidoSoul Kindred Spirits. Go to KaleidoSoul Kindred Spirits to find out how.

There are 2 new e-books on SoulCollage in the KaleidoSoul Shop.... but remember, if you become a KaleidoSoul Kindred Spirits Member, you'll be given a link to a page where they're half price!!! The new e-books are: How To Interpret Your SoulCollage® Cards, and Come Home To Your Self With SoulCollage®: Daily Readings for the Authentic Life.

Suggestions for Newcomers to SoulCollage:
Making Your Cards Intuitively
There are two ways to make SoulCollage cards- intentionally, and intuitively. When you make them intentionally, you already know ahead of time which part you are going to honor, and then you set about finding images that express that part.

When you make the cards intuitively, you choose images that you love, images that touch you somewhere deep inside although you don't know why. You combine these intriguing images onto a card in a way that is pleasing to your eye and spirit. Then you ask the card some questions (Who are you? What do you have to give me? What do you want from me?) and you invite the card to speak, to have a voice, to tell you its story.

It takes a healthy measure of trust in order to allow intuition to take over when making SoulCollage cards: trust in yourself, and trust in the process. In order to trust yourself, you need to let go of preconceived notions of what you are doing. You also need to believe, at the deepest core of your being, that you are capable of knowing what is true, what is right, what is best, for your own life. In order to trust the process of SoulCollage, you need to remember that thousands of women have been creating their decks intuitively for the past 20-plus years, and that the process has consistently worked for all of us! Of course it will work for you as well.

So.... take a deep breath (take a few deep breaths!) and begin. Begin right now! Go find some images that make you feel good inside for some reason. Know that you don't need to know why. Trust that your soul has chosen them for you for a reason. Create a card with these images. Let the card speak to you. This is how you spin those fragments of your world into wholeness and beauty... one SoulCollage card at a time!

Soul Symphonies with Karen
My name is Karen Mann and I'm a SoulCollage® facilitator from Melbourne, Australia. This column is for those of you who have already made some cards & are ready to discover the symphony of voices inside of you and around you.

When we use our intuition to make SoulCollage cards, (i.e. gluing images together without understanding the meaning of the card yet), we are connecting with our subconscious. We are translating something that is not known to us yet, into a language that will allow it to be known in the future.

The lessons I have learnt by making cards intuitively, and then letting the meaning "find me" later, have been wonderful. The meaning has "found me" in a number of different ways- through journaling, through a quote in a book, a story someone tells me, the words of a song that I can't get out of my head, or just a gradual realization over time!

An example of trusting my intuition was when I made this card, which I now call Ability to Shine.
When I made this card, I didn't really know what it was about. I thought it was something to do with "need more confidence," but wasn't really sure. I trusted my intuition and stuck the card together without fully understanding it and I trusted that the meaning would follow later.

About a year later, my therapist told me a story. She said that we are all born as priceless shining diamonds. As we grow up, we gather all this emotional baggage around us until the diamond is hidden behind a layer of crud. Then we reach a certain age where we coat this rubbish with a veneer or varnish and invite the world to look at our restored shining exterior. This varnish is shiny but fragile, and we spend much energy trying to stop this varnish from being damaged or cracked, so that people don't see the crud underneath. The irony is, if you let the varnish crack, and wash away the muck, you will get back to the 'real you' and then no longer have to pretend to yourself or others. This story seemed to describe my card perfectly!

By trusting my intuition, and sticking this card together without knowing the meaning beforehand, I learnt a great lesson that I may have had difficulty learning any other way. Without having made this card, that story probably would not have had such an impact on me. However, because of the similarity in imagery, I really paid attention to the story when I heard it.

Seena Frost says, "SoulCollage is an intuitive process whereby we learn to 'see' and consult our inner wisdom, to know our soul." (pg 73, SoulCollage Book).

By trusting my intuition as I made this card, my soul's true wisdom eventually got its chance to share a message of importance. I encourage you all to make at least some of your SoulCollage cards intuitively (sticking together images you are attracted to without knowing their meaning) and see what your "inner wisdom" has to tell you. Be patient, the meaning may not become apparent immediately, but it will make itself known when the time is right.

In keeping with this month's theme, each of these cards were made intuitively. Their meanings were discovered after their creation, during the interpretation (I Am The One Who...) process.

I am the one who knows Death will take all precious people I love,

I am the one who adapts time and space to meet my creative needs. I am the one who uses time and routine for my soulful purpose. I am the one whose childlike wonder needs time to attend. I am the one who wants to get up with the sun, run in the grass, see a few dewdrops, and flit about chasing butterflies.

Illusion

I am an illusion, not what I appear to be. I am the one building a house of cards. I am the one who creates illusions and tries to make them real. I am the one who gets lost in fantasy. I am also the one who turns my back on the house of cards and lets them fall.
