Who I am is a child of the universe.

Rooted, Grounded, Growing
 I am thinking of the daffodils I planted when we first moved into this house in 1995. Not having the world's greenest thumb, I read several books and consulted with my mother-in-law (who
does have the world's greenest thumb!) before buying the bulbs and digging the holes “just so.” I must have planted 30 or 40 of them in the border garden in front of our house.
The first year, it was glorious! In April, an ocean of buttery yellow flowers came to life in my front yard. I was so pleased with myself. But every year after that, there were less and less daffodils blooming. I'm told that moles and other little critters eat the bulbs. However, there is
one daffodil that still blooms even now, all these years later. The same daffodil!
I don't know why the moles have left this one alone year after year, but I still feel the same joy every spring when it steadfastly pushes its way through the fresh spring soil, seeming to smile at me with its soft creamy petals.
It reminds me that there is something within me that continues to blossom and grow, day in and day out, no matter what “weather” happens around it, or what “moles” are present. I strongly believe that that growth happens because I am rooted and grounded in Spirit and in my own powerful SoulEssence.
 I also believe that there is a Force larger than me that nurtures all growing things, including me. This came clear to me when I made this card, completely intuitively. Once I started to ask this Being some questions (which is how we start a relationship with a Neter), after a while she told me “I am the Cosmic Gardener.” Enough said! She is the one who breathes life into every living thing, and nurtures its growth.
I love drawing her in a reading because she always has something to say about how I’m growing, or what kind of change is occurring around me.
Anne Marie Bennett is a writer, self-taught artist, website goddess,
cancer survivor, and SoulCollage® Facilitator / Trainer who was mentored
directly by Seena Frost. In 2005, she fell in love with SoulCollage® and was
inspired to use her professional experience along with Internet technology as a
means to serve the world by putting SoulCollage® "out there" in a really big way
with
KaleidoSoul. Anne Marie lives in
eastern Massachusetts with her middle-aged husband, an elderly dog and two

Seeds of Spring
 As Winter turns toward Spring, sap loosens and begins to rise.
There is a sense of Spring coming long before it lands. It often winks and beckons, teasing us as the light begins to shift. While each season offers a rich entering place, awakening to Spring excites the body, senses become attuned to the growing energy deep within. As the earth warms, we welcome a fresh start.
You are beginning again.
It is time to sow the seeds of spring. This is especially true for those of us who create. Our inner inspirations begin to transform inertia into action. We feel ourselves unfurling, stretching limbs and opening, as we begin to unfold and grow.

Just like the greening of the earth we too are pushing ourselves up to the surface and into the world. That first shoot through the snow offers us an opportunity to connect and feel the freedom of new territory. Our buds of potential quicken, tightly held as they are awaiting the moment to warm and crack open. Over time we blossom, discovering a brilliant new way of being.
Spring Equinox, in the Northern Hemisphere, is on March 20th 2018. This day invites us to explore the essence of a new season. How will you meet the Spring?
Find your own personal connection to this year’s Spring. Each season of life comes to meet you, and it is brand new. Notice what is opening or brand new in your creative life. Become more aware, listening within, to what needs to be planted, or supplanted.
Where are you seeding your creative life? Explore the energies that need tending. What wants to be organized and realigned to serve the next stage of Spring?
Spring will be experienced by traveling within its edges. Begin to slip into Spring. Create with the energies and rhythms of the coming season:
- What is the color of your Spring?
- What is rising inside of you?
- How are you awakening?
- Where are seeds being planted in your art and life?
This is the time to tend the garden that is Y O U - consider how much new growth will occur if you pay careful attention to your needs in this season.

Besides SoulCollage® card making, we will take a tour with Foundation EnVia to a pueblo cemetery, guided by a woman who is supported by a micro-finance loan to support her own business. I'm happy to advise and help with getting to our guest house. There will be a few extra workshops including cooking a traditional Mexican dinner together and painting (bring your own white cotton tee shirt or scarf) with natural dyes with an expert.
